Preparation for Your Immigration Medical Exam
Preparing properly for your exam can help minimize stress on the day of the appointment. Here are some tips to help you get ready:
- Documentation: Bring a government-issued photo ID, your vaccination records, and any prior medical records or prescriptions. This includes documentation of any previous surgeries or illnesses you have had.
- Vaccinations: Make sure your vaccinations are up-to-date according to U.S. immigration requirements. If you are unsure about your vaccination status, our staff can help you determine which vaccinations you may need.
- Fasting: You may need to fast if a blood test is required. We will inform you ahead of your appointment if fasting is necessary.
- Clothing: Wear comfortable clothing as you will undergo a physical examination.
- Mental Preparation: It’s normal to feel anxious about medical exams. Remember, this is a standard part of the immigration process, and we are here to guide you through each step.
