Targeted therapies. Evidence-based relief. Go for limitless living again.
Back pain is among the leading causes of disability in the U.S., with millions of adults experiencing it annually. From sore muscles to compressed nerves, a range of issues can leave you feeling incapacitated — albeit in a figurative sense — and in so doing, deprive you of precious hours of sleep and a good quality of life.
We offer the latest in diagnostic and interventional pain management procedures free from excessive reliance on licit or illicit drugs. Whether your back pain is due to injury, degeneration, or a chronic condition, we diagnose it with pinpoint accuracy and treat it appropriately.
Advanced Services for Back Pain
Spinal Injections
For conditions including herniated discs, spinal stenosis and arthritis, these injections deliver medication to inflamed nerves or joints. They decongest, drain, and offer diagnostic as well as therapeutic effects.
Trigger Point Injections
For back pain caused by tight, knotted muscles, trigger point injections can relax tissue and interrupt the cycle of pain. When targeting muscles and localized spasms, they are particularly beneficial.
Radiofrequency Ablation
RFA can be used selectively to cut down the small nerves that carry the pain signal for patients suffering with arthritis-related pain or pain that arises from the joint. By blocking those signals, patients frequently achieve long-term osteoarthritis/facet joint pain relief.
Spinal Cord Stimulation
For those whom conservative management has not worked, spinal cord stimulation utilizes a small implanted device that delivers mild electrical impulses to the spinal cord. This interrupts the pain signals before they can be transmitted to the brain; Spinal Cord stimulation can offer relief for patients with chronic back pain and conditions such as failed back surgery, spinal stenosis or nerve damage.
Morphine Pumps
In rare cases of intractable pain that is also crippling and not treatable with other methods, implanted intrathecal morphine pumps provide medicine delivered directly into the spinal fluid. This enables potent relief at far smaller doses than oral medications can offer and is particularly helpful with more complicated cases where a compression fracture or severe degenerative process exists.
Conditions We Treat
Osteoarthritis
Spinal arthritis leads to stiff, painful joints. With spinal injections, radiofrequency ablation, and spinal injections all can provide significant, long-lasting relief by reducing inflammation and hindering the transmission of pain.
Herniated Discs
When those discs slip or shift, or rupture, they act just like a jackhammer crushing near-by nerves and causing stabbing, sharp, or radiating pain. Spine injections for nerve inflammation Notice: in a small amount of cases chronic pain can be treated with spinal cord stimulation.
Muscle Strain
Muscles that are overused or injured can become overstretched and develop tight bands of painful tissue. When these knots are quieted with trigger point injections, mobility is restored.
Trigger Points
Chronic tight muscles refer pain locally and throughout the back. TPT offers the direct relief by deactivating the knots that cause the pain.
Compression Fractures
Compression Fractures — Commonly caused by an injury or osteoporosis, compression fractures are responsible for serious back pain. Persistent pain might have to be treated with a morphine pump for long-term relief if healing is conservative.
Osteoporosis
The condition weakens bones and increases the risk of fractures. Disease itself may require long-term management, but pain due to related condition fractures or juncture degeneration may be treated on as needed basis with spinal injections and intrathecal pain pumps.
Spinal Stenosis
Arthritis of the spine leads to stiff painful joints. Spinal injections, radiofrequency ablation, and other similar procedures can all offer significant long-lasting relief through anti-inflammatory effects and pain transmission blockage.
Scoliosis
Scoliosis: Scoliosis can cause chronic back and nerve pain. PTs, common pharmacologics, trigger point injections, spinal Injections, and advanced options like a spinal cord stimulator, maybe a tailored directed plan.
Why Early Care Matters
- Stop chronic pain: The earlier you intervene the better the chances for long-term improvement.
- Targeted relief: The appropriate treatment depends on an accurate diagnosis.
- Improved functioning: Pain reduction which gives you more ability to be active and prevent the worsening of conditions.
